Claude Turmes, “renewables” directive rapporteur, wants to ensure stable legislative framework for investment

Brussels, 26/05/2008 (Agence Europe) - In an exclusive interview with Europe, Claude Turmes (Green, Luxembourg) examines the proposal for a directive brought forward by the European Commission in January as part of the “energy and climate change” package (see EUROPE 9586). As rapporteur on this issue, his aim is to ensure a stable framework for green energy investment that is needed if the target of a 20% share of the EU energy mix for renewable energy is to be reached.
