Commission approves acquisition of digital map provider Tele Atlas by TomTom

Brussels, 15/05/2008 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission, on Wednesday 14 May, cleared the proposed acquisition of Tele Atlas by TomTom, both of the Netherlands. Tele Atlas is a provider of navigable digital maps and TomTom produces portable navigation devices (PNDs), also known as satellite navigation devices (SatNavs).
