Commission gives go-ahead for Tata's acquisition of Jaguar/Land Rover

Brussels, 28/04/2008 (Agence Europe) - On Friday 25 April 2008, the European Commission gave the go-ahead for the acquisition of sole control of the Jaguar and Land Rover business (JLR) of the US Ford Motor Company (Ford) by Tata Motors Limited of India by the sale of shares and assets. Tata Motors manufactures passenger cars, commercial vehicles and buses primarily in India, and sells light commercial vehicles and passenger cars in the European Economic Area.
