Council supports Commission in its approach in favour of rail freight

Brussels, 07/04/2008 (Agence Europe) - The Transport Council has welcomed the Commission's communication towards a rail network giving priority to freight (see EU5ROPE 9525). In conclusions on this theme adopted on Monday 7 April, member states reaffirm their support for initiatives aimed at stimulating competition in the rail freight sector.
