Following NATO Summit, Skopje keen to avoid another Greek veto, this time against opening EU accession negotiations

Brussels, 07/04/2008 (Agence Europe) - The decision of the NATO summit in Bucharest not to invite the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia (Fyrom) to negotiate its accession to the Atlantic organisation until its ongoing dispute with Greece over the name “Macedonia” has been resolved, should not discourage the country from pursuing its Euro-Atlantic integration, says the Slovenian Presidency of the EU.
