Trade unions demand higher pay, greater purchasing power and fairer distribution of wealth

Brussels, 04/04/2008 (Agence Europe) - On Saturday 5 April the European Trade Union Confederation (ETUC) will bring together thousands of unionists from all over Europe in Ljubljana, Slovenia, to demand higher pay and greater purchasing power, and a fairer distribution of wealth.

At the “Euro-demonstration” (EUROPE 9609 and 9605), which coincides with the informal meeting of the Ecofin Council, the trade unionists will demand: - a rise in real salaries and purchasing power in order to...
