Presence of pesticides detected in wine deemed alarming by Greens - Call for ban on dangerous pesticides

Brussels, 27/03/2008 (Agence Europe) - On 26 March, a study revealing the presence of pesticide residue in all 40 European wines rigorously tested caused great emotion in the Greens/EFA group in the European Parliament and among environmentalist NGOs when the results were published.

The report, “Message in a bottle”, was produced by PAN Europe (Pesticide Action Network) the European anti-pesticide action network, working with Austrian, French and German NGOs, on 40 bottles of wine...
