19/12/2007 (Agence Europe) - On 10 December, the EU Council of Ministers adopted a regulation on the trade of certain steel products between the European Union and Kazakhstan. The current provisions on this expire on 31 December 2007. The regulation adopted on Monday fixes for 2008 identical quotas to those finalised for 2007. These are “autonomous measures” pending a new agreement on the trade in steel products that both parties seem to wish to conclude in the near future. (O.L.)
