19/12/2007 (Agence Europe) - On 17 December in Brussels, as part of the structured dialogue on the European Commission's 2008 work programme, Commission President José Manuel Barroso met the president of the Committee of the Regions (CoR), Michel Delebarre, as well as the presidents of 7 local and regional associations of the EU (CPMR, ARE, CCRE, CALRE, EUROCITIES, ARFE, RELEG). Discussions focused on priority issues for local and regional authorities, such as the future Lisbon Treaty and its consequences for local and regional authorities, the future cohesion policy, budget review 2009 and territorial cohesion.
