19/12/2007 (Agence Europe) - During her meeting in Strasbourg on Tuesday 11 December with European Employment Commissioner Vladimir Spidla, Nathalie Griesbeck (ALDE, France) mainly took stock of the projects co-funded by the EU in favour of employment and equal opportunities in the “Grand Est” circumscription, where she is deputy and where the commissioner will be on Thursday. In her capacity as permanent rapporteur for Structural Funds within the EP budgets committee, Ms Griesbeck presented the conclusions of the report that she will be making in coming days on economic and social cohesion in Europe. Vladimir Spidla, for his part, assured Nathalie Griesbeck that he will take her request into account with a view to implementing common indicators for all member states, such as rates of pay, life expectancy and long term unemployment variations.
