Following initialling of SAA, Belgrade seeks candidate country status by end of 2008

Brussels, 07/11/2007 (Agence Europe) - On Wednesday in Brussels, Serbia initialled its stabilisation and association agreement (SAA) with the European Union. It has also submitted an action plan to Commissioner Olli Rehn (enlargement) from the Serbian government to prepare the country for candidate country status by the end of 2008.
