Commission's conditional green light to proposed acquisition of English Welsh & Scottish Railway Holdings by Deutsche Bahn

Brussels, 07/11/2007 (Agence Europe) - On 7 November the European Commission authorised the proposed acquisition of English Welsh & Scottish Railway Holdings (EWS) by Deutsche Bahn (DB). The go-ahead is conditional upon the commitment of DB to fulfil EWS's expansion plans and to provide non-discriminatory access to certain EWS training activities and maintenance facilities in France.
