Probe into possible state aid to Polish steel tube producers Walcownia Rur JednoϾ and Walcownia Rur JednoϾ Serwis

Brussels, 25/10/2007 (Agence Europe) - On 24 October, the European Commission launched an in-depth investigation into restructuring aid for two Polish seamless steel tube producers. The Commission has concerns that the public capital injections into the companies at a time when they were in financial difficulties were not made according to market conditions.

The beneficiaries of the alleged aid are Walcownia Rur JednoϾ Sp. z o.o. (WRJ) and Walcownia Rur JednoϾ Serwis Sp. z o.o....
