Faced with the sheer number of women murdered in Central America, the EP urges the EU to take measures to combat feminicide

Brussels, 11/10/2007 (Agence Europe) - On Thursday 11 October, the European Parliament adopted the own initiative report by Raul Romeva I Rueda (Greens/EFA, Spain) by a thumping majority (560 to 4 with 6 abstentions) on the murder of women (feminicides) in Central America and Mexico and the EU's role in combatting the phenomenon.
