02/08/2007 (Agence Europe) - On Thursday 2 August, the United Kingdom officially requested aid from the European Solidarity Fund to help repair infrastructure and housing after the July floods in the Midlands and West of England. The EU aid will supplement UK government aid of £46 million (€68m).
