Prague on the right track for accession to the Schengen area

Brussels, 18/06/2007 (Agence Europe) - The Czech Republic's preparations for joining the Schengen area are such that it should be ready to join on time, Commissioner Franco Frattini has said. “I can say that the Czech Republic is on the right track towards joining the Schengen area in December as scheduled, and we are going to do all in our power to raise all border controls within the announced timetable,” he said during a visit to Prague last week.
