EU foreign affairs ministers encourage Uganda to enact peace agreement and strengthen democratic process

Brussels, 18/06/2007 (Agence Europe) - On 18 June, EU foreign affairs ministers, encouraged by progress made in peace negotiations between the Ugandan army and the Lord's Resistance Army in Juba, sent out another message of encouragement to Uganda. The EU27 believes that the agreement for an end to hostilities is imperative to the whole process, and is making a heartfelt appeal for “a peace agreement that guarantees both peace and justice for the local communities and which is compatible...
