Commission approves two acquisitions

Brussels, 23/05/2007 (Agence Europe) - On Wednesday 23 May, the Commission cleared two merger proposals after the operations were examined under simplified merger review procedure. The first concerns acquisition of sole control of Claire's Stores, Inc (Claire's) of the US by The Apollo Group (Apollo), also of the US. The other case involves acquisition of joint control of Koninklijke Nedschroef Holding NV, which produces fasteners, machines and machine tools, by the two private equity...
