EU to examine free trade agreement with Kiev as soon as Ukraine joins WTO

Brussels, 27/03/2007 (Agence Europe) - On Tuesday José Manuel Barroso welcomed the negotiations on a new partnership agreement between the EU and Ukraine. These negotiations were launched on 5 March (EUROPE 9382) and, as Mr Barroso was pleased to point out, “show our joint political will to upgrade our relationship”.
