Maciej Giertych calls for sanction to be annulled

Brussels, 27/03/2007 (Agence Europe) - The Polish non-attached MEP and MP for the League of Families, Maciej Giertych, the author of an anti-Semitic brochure containing the logo of the European Parliament, has appealed against the decision penalising him. This sanction, taken in compliance with Article 147 of Parliament's internal regulation, was decided on 14 March by EP President, Hans-Gert Pöttering from Germany (EUROPE 9386).
