20/03/2007 (Agence Europe) - The European Parliament has given its support to the right of information for families of missing persons in Cyprus. On 15 March in Strasbourg, MEPs voted in favour of a resolution calling on the Greek and Turkish authorities in Cyprus to cooperate, so that all missing persons are investigated appropriately. They also call on the Council and Commission to provide financial aid to the missing persons committee and, in cooperation with the UN, take all necessary measures to implement the European Court of Human Rights decision of 10 May 2001, as well as the UN resolutions and that of the EP.
