20/03/2007 (Agence Europe) - On 16 March, the European Commission adopted a series of proposals concerning the conclusion of protocols (and their transitional application pending entry into force) to the partnership agreements between the EU, on one hand, and Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan, on the other. The protocols are aimed at integrating the new EU member states, Bulgaria and Romania as parties to the agreements in question. (ol)
