Brussels, 06/03/2007 (Agence Europe) - On Monday 5 March, during his visit to the United States, European Taxation and Customs Commissioner László Kovács met US Secretary for Homeland Security Michael Chertoff. They agreed to continue to strengthen customs cooperation to tackle the growing security concerns related to international trade, and to explore ways to facilitate trade between the EU and the US. They also discussed ways of dealing more effectively with counterfeiting.
