Yes to thematic strategy for soil protection but directive does not have unanimity

Brussels, 22/02/2007 (Agence Europe) - EU environment ministers are in favour of the thematic strategy for soil protection in the EU presented by the Commission last September (EUROPE 9271). However, the proposal for a framework directive to accompany the strategy is far from receiving unanimous approval.
