Council approves its contribution to European Spring Summit - Priority given to combating child poverty and to family

Brussels, 22/02/2007 (Agence Europe) - EU social affairs and employment ministers, meeting in Brussels on Thursday, under the joint chairmanship of Franz Müntefering and Ursula von der Leyen (see EUROPE 9396), adopted their key messages on employment, social policy and equal opportunities for the European spring summit, and held a “structured” debate on demographic change.
