“Independent” music labels do about-turn and declare support for Warner-EMI merger if concessions are made from both sides

Brussels, 22/02/2007 (Agence Europe) - IMPALA, the independent record and publishing house has been successfully fighting against mergers between the major international record labels since 2000. In a press release on Wednesday it declared that it would give its support to the merger of Warner Music Group Corp (“Warner”, USA) with the EMI Group Plc (“EMI”, United Kingdom).
