22/02/2007 (Agence Europe) - Next week (Monday 26 February), the European Parliament's Committee on Women's Rights will be receiving a visit from a delegation of Afghan women deputies, judges, senior officials and members of the civil society. They will speak of their daily struggle for dignity and for the recognition of their work and of their status as women in Afghan society, Veronique de Keyser, Belgian MEP (PES), announces in a press release. The Afghan women will be accompanied by US Ambassador Swanee Hunt, founder of the Hunt Alternative Fund and the Initiative for Inclusive Security, a network for exchange between women politicians, businesswomen, judges, journalists, members of the civil society, etc who are actively involved in peace-keeping in regions in conflict.
