Brussels, 22/02/2007 (Agence Europe) - EU environment ministers, who are all in favour of including the aviation sector in the Community greenhouse gas emissions trading system (ETS) are keen that European operators should not suffer competitive disadvantages compared to their third country rivals. An overwhelming majority of ministers therefore request that the ETS should begin to be applied to all air operators at the same time, whether they be European or non-European.
