22/02/2007 (Agence Europe) - Returning from a visit to Belgrade on Wednesday 21 February, where they met, among others, Serbian President Boris Tadic and Prime Minister Vojislav Kostunica, Elmar Brok and Doris Pack, MEPs (EPP-ED) called for greater account to be taken of the rights of the Serbian minority in the negotiations on the future status of Kosovo. “In the negotiations on Kosovo (currently in progress in Vienna), one should take more account of the proposals made by Belgrade on the rights of the Serbian minority, the protection of the Serb cultural heritage and the status of the local entities of Serb majority” in Kosovo, the two German MEPs say in a press release published on Thursday.
