Proposal to allow resale of 855,000 tonnes of sugar for export

Brussels, 07/12/2006 (Agence Europe) - On Thursday 7 December, the Management Committee for Sugar came out in favour of a proposal allowing a standing invitation to tender to be opened for the export of 855,232 tonnes of sugar being stored by intervention bodies in nine Member States (Belgium, Czech Republic, Ireland, Italy, Hungary, Poland, Slovakia, Spain and Sweden).
