31/07/2006 (Agence Europe) - Following the Cana killings in Lebanon, Enrique Baron announced on behalf of Spanish socialists at the EP that there would be an emergency meeting of the foreign affairs committee and a meeting of the Euro-Mediterranean Parliamentary Assembly (EMPA). Carlos Carnero stated in a press statement that the Assembly in which both Lebanese and Israeli delegates had seats “is an appropriate place for the 'inevitable dialogue that should take place as soon as possible”.
