Washington blames European Union, particularly France, for breakdown in talks - Reactions of NGOs, industry and Unions split between disappointment and relief

Brussels, 26/07/2006 (Agence Europe) - After the breakdown of the meeting of the G6 last Sunday (EUROPE 9238 and 9239), the ambassadors from 149 member countries of the WTO are set to give their official rubber stamp to the suspension of Doha Round negotiations this Thursday, as requested by Director-General Pascal Lamy.
