26/07/2006 (Agence Europe) - The Commission decision immediately ending anchovy fishing in the Bay of Biscay was published in Official Journal L 199 on 21 July. This decision, in force from 22 July to 31 December 2006 was motivated by a scientific recommendation that advises that spawning stock biomass at spawning time was less than 28,000 tonnes in 2006 (EUROPE 9237 and 9224).
