10/07/2006 (Agence Europe) - On 7 July, the European Commission adopted a regulation increasing monitoring of transmissible spongiform encephalopathy (TSE) in sheep. The aim is to conduct a viable investigation to determine rapidly the likely prevalence of BSE among sheep and to enhance our knowledge of the geographical spread of the illness.
