10/07/2006 (Agence Europe) - MEP Michael Cramer (Green, Germany) has announced the inauguration of the exhibition “Europazug 2006- Europe meets the Europeans”, to be held at the European Parliament in Brussels on 11 July. To mark the second anniversary of the enlargement of the EU of 1 May 2004, a special train has been to the eight new Member States of Central and Eastern Europe and, at each stop, questions were asked about various aspects of European construction (http://www.europazug.de ), according to a press release. The result is this exhibition of “outsized” postcards featuring the responses of those who took part, with their name, photograph and information about their occupation. This is a “collage” of extremely diverse opinions, “realistic, unpathetic and highly personal”, said Michael Cramer, who has invited the international team which “made an exhibition out of this mosaic” to come to Brussels.
