Commission closes proceedings against United Kingdom on seizures of tobacco and alcohol

Brussels, 29/06/2006 (Agence Europe) - Satisfied with the changes made by the United Kingdom to EU law relating to excise duties on tobacco and alcohol and cross border shopping, the European Commission has decided to close its case against London.
