€2 million in aid to Euromoteurs is illegal

Brussels, 27/04/2006 (Agence Europe) - After an indepth examination, the Commission has declared that the aid of €2 million granted to Euromoteurs by France is incompatible with Community rules. “The Commission can only authorise restructuring aid when it is certain that the aid will restore the long-term viability of the recipient”, Neelie Kroes, Commissioner responsible for this dossier, states.
