Parliament delays vote on discharge of running expenditure whilst it investigates Strasbourg buildings affair

Brussels, 27/04/2006 (Agence Europe) - On 27 April, the European Parliament decided to delay the vote on the report by Markus Ferber (CSU) by about six months. The report is on the discharge granted to the EP for the execution of its running expenditure in 2004, whilst an investigation is carried out into the dossier on purchasing the "Winston Churchill" and "Salvador de Madariaga" buildings which it occupies in Strasbourg (EUROPE 9180).
