Tricky preparations for accession talks with Turkey and Croatia on culture and education matters

Brussels, 27/04/2006 (Agence Europe) - After long hours of talks, COREPER gave the go-ahead on 26 April to continuing with the process of preparing for the launch of accession negotiations with Turkey and Croatia on the culture and education chapter. Based on the European Commission's favourable screening report on culture and education, the Member States authorised the Austrian Presidency to send Turkey and Croatia a letter inviting them to submit their negotiation papers on this chapter....
