Brussels, 31/03/2006 (Agence Europe) - The EU-Lebanon Association Agreement is to take effect on 1 April. Signed on 17 June 2002, it was ratified by Lebanon in December 2002 and on 16 January 2003 by the European Parliament. Given how slow the procedure is, an interim agreement, which took effect on 1 March 2003, has allowed the economic and commercial provisions to be implemented in advance.
