09/03/2006 (Agence Europe) - The Congress of Local and Regional Authorities of Europe (CLRAE) is to hold its spring session from 15 to 17 March in Strasbourg, focusing on new technologies and cultural diversity. A press release states that reports will be presented notably on youth and new information technologies, on local products compared to globalisation and on the contribution of local authorities to the work of the Council of Europe's North-South Centre. Also, participants will hear Romania's Interior Minister Vasile Blaga (Romania currently chairs the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe) and Human Rights Commissioner for the Council of Europe Alvaro Gil Robles.
