03/03/2006 (Agence Europe) - In Official Journal C50 of 28 February 2006, the European Commission published a new consolidated version of the explanatory notes to the combined nomenclature in the 20 EU official languages. The combined nomenclature is based on the international convention on the harmonised system for describing and classifying goods. It covers live animals, mineral products, food and feed, plastics, textiles, arms and art. Published in line with Regulation (EC) 2658/87, the explanatory notes help in the application of various tariffs, but are not binding.
