03/03/2006 (Agence Europe) - In the context of the VIIIth European Interparliamentary Space Conference, the Belgian Senate is organising a seminar on 26 April on Space Law. Entitled: “Towards a Legal Framework for Space Activities and Applications: Belgian, Comparative and European Perspectives, the seminar will be attended by many well-known figures: Speaker of the Belgian Senate Anne-Marie Lizin, Federal Minister for Science Policy Marc Verwilghen, Senator François Roelants du Vivier who chairs the Interparliamentary Space Conference, president of the European parliamentary Group Philippe Busquin, Director for External Relations European Space Agency René Oosterlinck, as well as academics, including Michael Gerhard (University of Cologne), Philippe Achileas (Paris Sud), Mahulena Hofmann (Max Planck, Heidelberg), Jan Wouters (University of Leuven), and Jacques Libouton (University of Brussels ULB).
