01/03/2006 (Agence Europe) - On the eve of the European Central Bank's (ECB) decision, expected on 2 March, on interest levels in the euro-zone, Eurostat has published its first estimates on the level of inflation for February 2006. While observers all expect a further increase in interest levels to counter the threat of inflation, the consumer price index for the euro-zone dropped to 2.3% in February, compared with 2.4% in January.
