Brussels, 21/02/2006 (Agence Europe) - On 20 February, President of the European Commission José Manuel Barroso, Social Affairs Commissioner Vladimir Spidla and Austrian Economy and Employment Minister Martin Bartenstein officially launched the new EURES web site on which are advertised around one million job vacancies throughout the EU (see EUROPE 9134). “There are 18 million unemployed in Europe today.
