Brussels, 30/01/2006 (Agence Europe) - On 29 January, the Czech Republic and Cyprus signed up to the agreement on a reduced rate of VAT, which was concluded by 22 of the other Member States at the recent Ecofin Council (EUROPE 9117). Amongst other things, this agreement will allow the application of reduced rates of VAT, contained in annex K of directive 77/388/EEC (the so-called six "VAT" directive), to certain highly labour-intensive services, to be extended until the end of December 2010....
