EU works towards possible mission in DRC to oversee elections in June

Brussels, 25/01/2006 (Agence Europe) - Next week, the European Union is to send an exploratory mission to New York and Kinshasa, in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), to analyse the situation on the ground and assess needs before deciding whether to send an EU mission to oversee the elections in June, as requested by the United Nations two weeks ago.
