Commissioner Rehn welcomes Turkish plan to re-launch peace process - Ankara suggests May or June meeting under aegis of UNO and “practical” inclusion of North Cyprus in Customs Union - Greek Cypriots see nothing new

Brussels, 25/01/2006 (Agence Europe) - Talking to the Press in Ankara on 24 January, Turkish Foreign Minister Abdullah Gül unveiled a “ten-point action plan” to restart negotiations on an “full and sustainable” resolution of the Cyprus issue. Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan is due to have talks on this subject with Kofi Annan, Secretary General of the UNO, during the Davos economic forum where he is expected on Thursday.
