06/12/2005 (Agence Europe) -The directive 2005/65/EC of 26 October 2005 on the improvement of port safety was published in the Official Journal L 310 of 25 November 2005. The aim of the directive is to reinforce and add to regulation (EC) 725/2004, which is applicable to ships and port installations, providing for Community safety measures covering each port within the perimeter defined by the Member State in question.
