Commission to ask Member States to cooperate more closely in coastal patrols and use of satellites

Brussels, 30/11/2005 (Agence Europe) - On Wednesday, the European Commission unveiled a communication presenting priority actions for responding to the challenges of immigration. Franco Frattini told reporters that he would be asking the Justice and Home Affairs Council to endorse concrete measures meeting the wishes expressed at the Hampton Court Summit (see Europe 9059).
